Hi, I’m Penny! I’m an 18-month-old greyhound with a happy, sweet personality and a heart full of love. I might be a bit different, but that just makes me extra special—just like the wonderful person I’m hoping to find!

A little about me: I’m what they call a “Blue” greyhound, which means I have a beautiful smoky grey coat and light eyes that really stand out. And don’t forget my big smile! I lost one of my front legs when I was just a pup, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. I love to play with my toys, and have fun with my greyhound foster brother. Although I want to zoom around we try to limit and monitor, adding enrichment instead to stimulate. I enjoy two short walks a day, and I’m always ready for more fun! Walking is great for me!

To keep me feeling my best, I take a joint supplement to help my front leg stay strong and pain-free. I also have a simple stretching routine that helps keep me flexible and ready for action. I absolutely adore people and want to be near you all the time. Whether it’s snuggling on the couch, lying next to you in bed, or just following you around, I’m your loyal shadow. My favorite things in the whole world are snuggles, belly rubs, and playing with my toys.

I’m a fast learner. I’m getting the hang of household routines and commands like ‘toilet,’ ‘on your bed,’ and ‘wait.’ I’m working on being okay when I’m alone, but I’d really love it if someone could be home most of the time to keep me company.

The perfect family for me would be one where someone is around a lot, and maybe with a playful dog sibling (doesn’t have to be a greyhound!) to keep me company. I get along great with other dogs and would love a buddy to play with. I’d also enjoy having school-age kids who can throw toys for me and run around the backyard with me, but that’s not a must as long as I have a doggy friend to play with.

I need a backyard where I can run around and burn off some of my puppy energy—just a bit of space for my play and toy time.
